About Days of Bloom

Days of Bloom is a Dutch wallpaper brand, founded by designer Elles Rodenburg. From our studio, we design exclusive patterns and wallpaper collections with character, atmosphere, and their own story.

What makes Days of Bloom special is the combination of design and social impact. We believe that beauty is not only something to look at but also something that can connect people and make a real impact.

Through Bloom Together, we collaborate with women in India on empowerment, creative development, and fair employment. Within the growing print & pattern team, they create drawings and paintings and learn the craft of pattern designer and illustrator step by step.

With Days of Bloom, we are building more than just an interior brand. We create products that arise from stories, craftsmanship, and inspiration, designed to beautify a space and to provide room for growth.

The heart behind Days of Bloom

From a world full of colour, inspiration and creativity, Elles Rodenburg designs patterns that emerge from real everyday moments. She is a lover of beautiful prints, flowers, history, special places, chocolate and cappuccino. The designs are born in the midst of everyday life, between school bags, walks in nature, heart-to-heart conversations and a table full of sketches, paint and drawings.

Elles:
"I am someone who loves to be amazed. My camera is filled with images of flowers, nature, colour and details that move me.
My inspiration is actually everywhere. In flowers that unexpectedly bloom, old patterns from palaces and castles, nature or small details that you might normally just pass by. These moments of inspiration later take shape in new designs."

"Traveling and discovering other cultures are an important source of inspiration in my work.
For example, India has been given a very special place in the story behind Days of Bloom.
For a long time, I felt a deep fondness for India. When I first visited the country, it immediately felt like coming home. That trip touched me in a way that is hard to explain and only strengthened my desire to make a difference in India with Days of Bloom.
What once started as a desire has now become a reality through Bloom Together.

Within the growing print & pattern team, six women in India contribute to drawings, paintings, and creative designs that can later develop into new patterns and collections for Days of Bloom. As we work together on new designs, they gradually develop further in the field of pattern design and illustration.
For me, connection is much more important than creating perfect drawings. It's about women being able to grow, learn, develop self-confidence, and discover all that is within them."

What I find most beautiful is when creativity not only creates something lovely to look at, but can truly mean something to people. That's why Days of Bloom feels like much more than just a brand to me. It's a place where stories, dreams, craftsmanship, connection, and creativity come together.
Perhaps that's also why our designs feel so personal, because they originate from real moments in life. From wonder and a love for beauty."
